Stitchers who are ahead of you...

Karen Dever has her top set together.
She wanted to show it to her class last Saturday so I sent her the last two blocks.
She made some progress in using up her reproduction stash.

She used the set I suggested based on this late 19th century design. It looks like a medallion but it's just blocks set on point. See the pattern here:

And I noticed on the Flickr page that ATypicalQuilter has hers set.
She's consistently used solids and batiks
so her results are very contemporary looking.

Two more Saturdays....

This blog of CW quilts has been so interesting. I may have missed it, but is there a source for traditional quilting designs for this period?

Hi Barbara, my finished top is at flickr too, I would email it to you but I couldn't find your email address.
Thank you very much for the great patterns, you kept us busy all year long! It was so much fun to make the blocks and read all the nice stories you wrote to it. Thank you!
Kind regards from the Netherlands.

The blocks are coming to an end, but the finished tops are all something to look forward to. As Rosemary said, even though the block patterns are the same, all the quilts will be different and I can't wait to see them!!!

Hey, I know that last quilt top :-) I've enjoyed this project, a lot. It has helped to get me back into quilting more regularly again--and I love the history involved. Thanks Barbara!

There will be 53 blocks. You can pick your favorites if you like, 49 for a 7 x 7 format or 48 for a 6 x 8.

I'm looking at making a quilt with 8 rows of 7 blocks in each row-
(56) I liked the idea of using 4 variations of the New York block for the corners, since it was so easy! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in 2012! I think I will resolve to quilt and sew more...fun, fun, fun!

Ha, I have NOT used up a significant portion of my CW stash. In fact, I think I've doubled it this year! I am catching up!

Thanks for sharing the finished ones.

Thanks for the compliments on my finished quilt top. I love it! Only 49 due to the setting design - as it is it is 94" square!
It was great fun and love the history - but I didn't make much of a dent in my stash! :)
