I have neglected to show Victoria Carroll's finished
Stars in a Time Warp
set with triangle blocks of madder shades
and bound with a stripe
And Barbara at Cookie's Creeks
Two good illustrations of why you need yellows and golds in your reproduction stash.
Send pictures when you get these finished.

Both very pretty quilts. I still need to get mine quilted and binded. That sure was a fun quilt-along.
Fantastic!
These are great!
Both are so lovely!!
Thank you so very much for showing my finished "Stars In A Time Warp" quilt with the hourglass setting blocks. I am honored to be included here. Now, whenever I look at one of those stars, I say to myself, "Oh, that's a California Gold!, or, "Oh, that's a Poison Green!, or, "That's a Serpentine Stripe!" Thank you for making meaningful connections for me in my beloved Civil War stash reproduction fabrics.
I love the one with the reds! GREAT setting!
Vic---you get an A+ in the fabric dating class, not only for the quilt, but for learning the vocabulary!
All the star quilts have turned out great! I have a pile of stars and really need to get going on my quilt. Thank you for encouragement
Love that setting, Victoria! And I see some Kaffe in Barbara's, was that part of the class too? ;)
Yes! for yellow and contrast!
Nice quilts, thanks for sharing.
these are all soo gorgeous! anxious to get mine together....i do have a plan now, just waiting for that extra day in the week...LOL
Vic, that setting is stunning. Thanks for sharing it with us. This was surely a fun challenge; thank you Barbara. Hope to finish soon and share.
Both quilts are gorgeous, love the hourglass setting too, stunning result. I started these little stars this year and am loving working my way through them!!....(and the new Westering Women blocks). The history and information on the different fabric styles definitely creates more meaning, I'm loving that learning process......still deciding on my final layout, have been playing around on EQ, so we'll see what I end up with.....Thankyou Barbara for all your work and knowledge sharing.....
OOohhh nice ones!
