So maybe you only have 9 blocks from American Stars finished.
You could set them with a simple variation of Block #2 on point.
12" blocks will give you a field of about 51" x 51"
Use pattern number 2 but double piece B
so you have 4 pieces in the central star instead of 8.
Becky Brown did something similar in four pointed stars,
but the star sampler blocks are redrawn as octagons instead of squares.
It's great but I have no advice to give you... except fussy cutting stripes is
always good.
