I finished mine today too. These are just gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThe era in history is not my favorite, but I do love the story you tell with each block. I couldn't resist---I am sewing along. I am enlarging my blocks though to 12 inches rather than the 8. I hope the other's will be as easy to enlarge. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity.
ReplyDeleteI love the link to the inspiration quilt. It makes it so much more real. I'm waiting for myh FQ bundle to arrive before I can start sewing, but I'm looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI love these blocks. I can't thank you enough.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to give it a try, you're explanation is so good, maybe a finaly will get the hang of inch. That's the greatest trouble I have, living in Belgium, we use meters. So fingers crossed and thank you so so much
ReplyDeleteI set aside a part of my design wall for the blocks...in sight in mind!

Hi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog by accident while I was poking around on the internet and I am really enjoying making the blocks. I am really interested in Reproduction Fabrics and I have quite a few of your books. I am also signed up for your current 'Quilt Detective' newsletter. It is all so very interesting! I have ordered a fat quarter bundle of your latest fabric from Sew Unique and some yardage to complete the quilt - this is going to be alot of fun! Best wishes and thankyou,
Carol from Mildura, Australia.
