Antebellum Album Block 3
"Dare to Try"
By Sara Reimer Farley
I recently spent a little time with my old friend Sara at the AQSG seminar. She pointed out that she is making a Civil Quilt from our Civil War BOM Antebellum Album.

Live in Peace
I get it NOW. Civil---as in wishes for civil discourse (so rare it seems from those in authority.)

Wonderful blocks. I love her inked messages. Those of us who wish for peace have never understood those in authority who don't. I realize in my golden years, the painful reality that it works both ways. However, it will never stop us from trying to lead them to the light.
ReplyDeleteAs long as there are two or more opposing views, there will always be disagreement. Trouble brews when one side or another thinks theirs is the only right way. Neither is being harmonious.
ReplyDeleteI do love Sara's quilt and the beautiful thought of civility.
ReplyDeleteSara's blocks are beautiful in workmanship and sentiment.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing them with us.
I agree with Wendy, let's never stop 'trying to lead them to the light.'
Peace and brotherhood always win out over anger and hate.
superbe travail
