I have researched a dozen or more Civil War Union soldiers, and a couple of them were listed as missing. I would love to know where any printed, transcribed, or digital copies are located, because I would like to see if those men are listed. Thank you for the information about Clara Barton.sewsandquiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03874956371942923551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4281798505305352117.post-51816532699224279362019-02-26T22:32:07.447-06:002019-02-26T22:32:07.447-06:00Great story, thanks.Great story, thanks.Cheryl's Teapots2Quiltinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01005480747596617459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4281798505305352117.post-43272861682590473772019-02-26T08:45:33.853-06:002019-02-26T08:45:33.853-06:00Alice- my experience has been that famous people o...Alice- my experience has been that famous people often have a good publicist---Clara's was herself.Barbara Brackmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07948219446078848778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4281798505305352117.post-66616982741008934602019-02-25T20:28:37.397-06:002019-02-25T20:28:37.397-06:00Fascinating. I also read (many times) "We Were There With Clara Barton," from another juvie series. That one had a chapter on her Red Cross work at the Johnstown Flood. According to that author Barton rescued a child from a rooftop (floating in the water), singing "Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to thy bosom fly / While the nearer waters roll / While the tempest still is nigh." Obviously that scene made an impression on me. :)<br />Nannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09239289676429380866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4281798505305352117.post-82693345284062393412019-02-24T09:54:25.886-06:002019-02-24T09:54:25.886-06:00Fascinating!
