And yes I realize I am reading this five years later. However here we go:

You would need two strips of 1 5/8“ x 6 1/2“ and two strips of cream 1 5/8“ by 6 1/2“. Then for the long bar, you would need a strip 3 7/8“ by 6 1/2“. So then start sewing the strips with cream then brown then the cream, then brown. After sewing the strips, then cut them into 1 5/8 inches widths. Starting with one of the strips, place the brown on the corner of the interior block and so that to the edge but leaving the cream block hanging over on the left. Attach by sewing. Then turn and sew the rest of the strips on it this time matching the first cream of the strip onto the brown of the newly ended border. The only Fiddly bit is when you have to join up the last corner. I’m hope I’m explaining this correctly. Personally I would probably cut the strips 7 1/2 inches, and then I would have some fudge room. I have to think about the checkerboard.Faunacocohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03302477713480054209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4281798505305352117.post-32749904527430807272015-09-26T20:02:07.277-05:002015-09-26T20:02:07.277-05:00Nancy,

I added pictures to the flikr page. My husband, who has probably been overexposed to quilting has not often shown such an interest in any one quilt, but this one really draws him in. I have it laying out over the couch, and I see him inspecting various blocks and telling me which ones are his particular favorites. I set the blocks on point, sashed it with a small dark red/black stripe, used a red background chintz for the setting triangles, and used a buff/red stripe for the border. I love the way it turned out.Nancy Swanwicknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4281798505305352117.post-47792846731122465792015-09-23T07:31:36.911-05:002015-09-23T07:31:36.911-05:00Another fun theme this week!
