I am proud to say that my ancestors, in Georgia were among the first Black land owners, in the south. And, my GGG Grandfather, Stepney West( in the picture( and his sister, Elsey Maxwell ( in the picture), and other family members.....purchased the ENTIRE plantation, in which they were enslaved upon!
